IIn short
Visitors to this site receive no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party content that could set any.
To make the intro and page transitions behave, the site keeps a handful of tiny notes in your browser’s session storage, which empties itself when you close the tab, plus one note in local storage that remembers you have read the privacy notice. None of them contains personal data, and none of them is ever sent to us.
IIEverything the site stores
| Name | Where | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
cs_seen | Session storage | Shortens the signature loader once you have seen it | Until you close the tab |
cs_desk | Session storage | Skips the opening desk film after you have watched it once | Until you close the tab |
cs_pt_color | Session storage | Carries the colour of the page transition to the next page | Deleted as soon as the next page opens |
cs_enter | Session storage | Tells the archive which drawing you opened from the desk, so it can open on that plate | Deleted as soon as it has been read |
cs_notice | Local storage | Remembers that you have dismissed the privacy notice | Until you clear it |
cs_admin | Cookie, first-party, HttpOnly | Keeps the site owner signed in to the private admin area. Never set for visitors | 12 hours |
Two more kinds of storage exist in every browser and are worth naming: your browser’s ordinary cache, which keeps copies of images and fonts so pages load faster, and the site’s typefaces, which are served from our own server rather than from Google or any other font service.
IIIWhy there is no consent banner
European law (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Malta by the Processing of Personal Data (Electronic Communications Sector) Regulations, S.L. 586.01) requires consent before storing information on your device, except where the storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.
Everything listed above falls within that exemption: each item exists only to make the page you requested work as designed, nothing is used to track or profile you, and nothing is shared. That is why the site shows a short information notice instead of a consent banner. If we ever add anything that needs consent, such as analytics, we will ask first and nothing will be set until you agree.
IVWhat is stored in this browser now
This panel reads your browser directly. Nothing here is sent anywhere.
VControlling storage yourself
Every browser lets you inspect and delete what a site has stored, or block it altogether, from its privacy or site settings. Blocking storage on this site will not break it: the intro will simply play in full each time.
